Overview

Bantu Houses is a platform dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of African royal chief lines. It traces leadership from the first tribe founder to the modern heir, ensuring that historical and cultural heritage is well-documented and accessible. The project currently focuses on the Sotho culture, with plans to expand to other Bantu-speaking communities.

The Problem

Many African royal lineages are passed down through oral tradition, which can lead to gaps in historical records and a loss of cultural identity over time. There is a lack of well-structured digital platforms where communities can explore their leadership heritage in a visually engaging and informative way.

The Importance of Documenting Royal Lineages

  • Preserving History – Ensures that future generations have access to accurate records of their ancestors.

  • Cultural Identity – Strengthens the connection between communities and their historical roots.

  • Education & Research – Provides valuable resources for historians, researchers, and the general public.

  • Recognition & Heritage – Acknowledges the contributions of past and present leaders in shaping their communities.

Key Features

  • A visual representation of royal chief lines, connecting past leaders to present heirs.

  • A dedicated section focusing on the Sotho culture, with plans for expansion.

  • A sleek, modern interface for an engaging user experience, powered by creative animations.

  • A structured content management system for accurate historical documentation.
